Upon arrival you will find a quaint cottage with a turquoise door and red roof, surrounded by lush tropical fauna. If you’re looking for a quiet, restorative place that’s less than 15 minutes to all the activities and beaches the North side offers, Pineapple Cove is the only choice.
There’s a reason why most locals eventually call the North side home, it’s the jewel of St. Thomas. The views are unbeatable, the flora and fauna look like they’ve been given miracle grow, the beaches aren’t crowded and it’s so quiet you can hear the waves crashing.

There are two homes on the property, the cottage and a larger, two-story house. The property manager lives in the lower level of the main house. She is available to give recommendations on restaurants, beaches, charter companies and to answer any questions you might have about the island. There is a washer and dryer available to use. It’s located in the storage room of the larger house. You must leave the cottage, walk down the driveway and a set of stairs to access it.
The most important thing to note about St. Thomas is that there are only two ways to get around, taxi or rental car. Taxis can be notoriously difficult to deal with and very expensive. You can get an idea of taxi rates by googling "Taxi rates St. Thomas." Keep in mind that price is each way and there are additional charges for each piece of luggage. Also, there are no addresses on St. Thomas, so you will have to describe to them how to find the property, which will be pretty hard to do as a visitor.
I always recommend renting a car. A cheap, compact car will work perfectly. Renting a car will give you freedom to see the island on your terms. You can go where you want, when you want.
